Obituary of Diane S. Cutting

Diane S. Cutting, 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich. Diane was born on October 14, 1934 in Bainbridge, NY, daughter of the late Harry and Sylvia (Morton) Foulds. On August 31, 1951, she married the love of her life, Loren M. Cutting, at her parents' home in Guilford. Loren predeceased her on September 17, 2008 after 57 years of marriage. Diane worked as an inspector at Amphenol Corp. until her retirement in March 1995. She was a member of the BPOE Lodge #2175, and enjoyed gardening, reading, and many years camping and residing at Kellystone Park in Nineveh. Most of all, Diane loved her family and was happiest with a baby in her arms. She will be deeply missed by her children: son, Scott Cutting; daughters: Karen (Herb) Lowe, Gail Ostrander, Lora (Ron) Eggleston, Shirley Farnsworth, Sherry (Bob) Hunt, Bonnie (Michael) Derrick and Connie (Shaun) Ryan; daughters-in-law, Sueko (Marshall) Dart and Christine Cutting; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren; sister, Thelma Hein; in-laws: Glen and Sharon Cutting, Phyllis Niles, Rose Mazzarella, Florence and John Strong, Elizabeth and Fred Vroman, Shirley Cutting, Shary Cutting and Gerald Decker, as well as countless nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Diane was predeceased by four sons; Loren Paul, Alan, Gary and Mark (Valerie) Cutting; sons-in-law, Ed Ostrander and Ray Farnsworth; her brother, Harry W. Foulds; as well as in-laws, Clifford (Phyllis) Cutting, John Cutting, Robert (Joyce) Cutting, Richard Cutting, Bertha (Ted) Banks, Edna (Ralph) Shearer, Shirley Decker, Donald Niles and Frank Mazzarella. Friends are invited to call from 4:00-6:00pm on Friday, December 13, 2024 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. A memorial service will follow at 6:00pm at the funeral chapel. Burial will take place in the spring in Eastside Cemetery, Afton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Diane's memory may be directed to the Sidney Elks Lodge, 104 River St. Sidney, NY 13838.
