William C. Albright of Mt. Upton passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024, at his home. He was born January 10, 1930 in Brooklyn to the late Henry Charles and Lillian Elizabeth May Albright. Bill graduated from NY School of Printing where he was Captain of the track team and was a City Champion boxer at welterweight. From 1951 to 1953, Bill served his country honorably with the United State Army in Korea, he was awarded the Bronze Star, Korean Service medal with 3 bronze service stars and the United Nations Service Medal. He married Madeline Cuomo on September 20, 1959, in Brooklyn, she predeceased him on December 25, 2013. Bill was an inspector for the Amphenol Corp. in Sidney when he retired. He was an avid NY Yankee fan and enjoyed following boxing. Bill is survived by: Daughter, Lori Albright, Syracuse; Daughter, Linda Albright, Mt. Upton; Son, Allen Albright, and his wife Victoria; 3 grandchildren – Lucas Seneck and his fiancée Jessica Miller, Isabel, and Abigail Albright; 2 Great Grandchildren – Sophie Eggleston and Aaliyah Seneck Bill was also predeceased by his sister, Alice Moore Calling hours will be Tuesday, February 27, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 pm at CH Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney. Graveside services with military honors will be Wednesday, February 28 at 11:00am in Godfrey Cemetery in Guilford. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Chenango County or Chenango County Meals on Wheels. Condolences and memories may be shared online at www.landersfh.com
