I just read about your loss in the recent Emerson Alumni Magazine. Being from Malden myself, and a fellow Emerson Alum ('96), I felt a double-reason to share in your loss and express my condolences. Reading about Griffin, he sounded like an exceptional person definitely worth knowing. Sorry I never had that chance to make his acquaintance.

So much love to your family and friends. I never "knew" you. But I can remember spending time with you as a little girl at Uncles Steve's dad's cabin. I am touched by your writing and can relate to how you felt. Although you shouldn't be resting just yet - I'm glad you are. A soul like yours deserves peace. Peace you have found. I hope by now you've met my dad up there, and I'm sure he can keep you good company until you're able to hold your family. Rest in peace my friend. You are carried in your loved ones hearts- and im sure you are with them every step of the way on their continued journey here. -Tracy

I didn’t know Griffin, though I recall hearing his name in relation to the canoe races. I read his well versed obituary and felt that, although he often felt that he was an outcast, he didn’t allow that to tear him apart. His inner strength and ability to see himself as a vessel for others is evident from his essay. May his short life and organ donations allow others to know how much he meant to this universe.

Dear Duke, Bud, Sharon, Diane & Vic, How sad I was to learn of Griffin's passing from his mortal life. I didn't know him well but remembered how delighted he was to operate the flying saucer at the Drive-in for the showing of War of the Worlds. That was a fun night. The day you came into the shop with those silly fake eyebrows and mustaches. With that I am left with a smile given to me from Griffin. To the Fisher Family- We are both so terribly sorry to hear of the passing of Griffin. Please know many care, and feel your pain. It is so sad to read in his own words how he felt growing up. I hope the community and school can learn and do better next time for someone who fights the system and tries to make changes. Please know we are keeping you all in our prayers and thoughts.
