I had the privilege of working close to Ms. Butts for the several years I served as a member of the PTO at American Heritage. She was one of the kindest people I've ever met, intelligent and funny, always ready to encourage the students to do better. I regret not reaching out to her when my kids left school, as I really loved and appreciated her. This world has lost a wonderful soul, but I'm sure those in heaven will enjoy having her there. As she liked to say, she was "la creme de la creme" of human beings. I will remember her fondly. My deepest sympathy for those she left behind.
