Obituary of David S. Rowe

David S. Rowe, Sr. Afton, NY David Scott Rowe, Sr. (Bo), passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown after a valiant battle with scleroderma. He was 60 years old. Bo was born on June 16, 1955 son of Carl E. and Esther (Crosby) Rowe in Sidney. He graduated from Harpursville High School. In March 1976, Bo enlisted in the United States Coast Guard and honorably served his country for four years. For many years, Bo worked in telecommunications and most recently was a plater at Amphenol Corporation in Sidney. In his youth, Bo raced motocross, and still enjoyed working on motorcycles. He loved Nascar and enjoyed cooking. Bo was a great father, son, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed by: his mother, Esther Rowe of Afton; 3 sons: Todd Wilson of NC, Jacob Rowe and David Rowe, Jr., both of Afton; 4 sisters: Deborah Wakeman (Claude) of Watkins Glen, Diane Rowe (Rich) of Oxford, Darlene Heath (Mike) of Green Bay, WI and Deanna Lawrence (Mike) of Afton; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his father, Carl E. Rowe. At Bo's request, there will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. Memorial donations in Bo's memory may be directed to the Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Dr., Suite 105 Danvers, MA 01923. Condolences and memories may be shared online at www.landersfh.com.
