Joyce S. Burnett, 88 of Afton went to be with the angels on Monday, December 8, 2014 at her home with her loving family by her side.
She was born August 5, 1926, daughter of the late Walter and Clara (Oakland) Shupe in Des Moines, Iowa.
Joyce married Clarence F. Burnett on September 27, 1945 in Afton. He predeceased her on October 12, 2010 after 65 years of love and happiness.
She raised her family and later was employed at Borden's Chemical Co. in Bainbridge. Joyce was a member of the United Methodist Church in Afton as well as a dedicated member of the Afton VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Joyce is survived by her 2 devoted daughters – June White and husband Steve, Bainbridge

Her beloved grandchildren – Jason Burnett, Jackie Decker, Amy and Jimmy LaFever, Melissa Garland, Terri and Duane Bagg, Richelle and Justin Abbey
Adored great grandchildren, Nicholas, Lilly, Gracie, Easton and Carly Bagg, Madison Burnett, Gabriel and Reagan Decker, Hunter Scott, Elizabeth and Allison Abbey and Macey LaFever.

June and Natalie would like to thank everyone who took wonderful care of their beloved Mother, especially Terri Bagg, Linda Gregory, Nicole Jaramillo, Sara and Margery Erckert, Barbara and Nikole Brundege, Joan Burnett, Jeanne Slawson and Richelle Abbey.
Joyce is also predeceased by Son, Danny Burnett, Brothers, Robert and Walter Shupe, Sister, Elizabeth Smith and Brother-in-law Edward Morgan.
Friends may call Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 11:00 am with Rev. Gary Doupe officiating.
Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery in Afton.
