Helen and Denny were married on March 26, 1953, at St. John the Divine Cathedral in New York City and enjoyed their honeymoon on Prince Edward Island, Canada. Helen played the organ at the First Baptist Church in Bainbridge for six decades starting in her high school years. She was employed most recently by Butler Auto Sales and Chambers & O'Hara Truck Center in Sidney. Helen requested to be cremated with her ashes interred at the family plot in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Bainbridge.
