John George Bickos

He was born on April 13, 1927 to George and Dina Bickos in Sidney, NY. He married Mary Louise Wessels of Guilford, NY in 1952 (who predeceased him in 2010).
John was a loving family man who raised 4 children with his wife and soul-mate of 58 years, MaryLou. He also loved to travel taking the family on many simple but incredible sight-seeing and camping trips. John was hard worker, taking immense pride in his home and property. He also was an avid bird watcher and amateur cartoonist.
John served in the Army during WWII in Europe. After returning home he went to college and became a metallurgist at Scintilla for over 40 years. He was also active with the Masons and American Legion.
He was greatly loved by all who knew him with special love and admiration from his grandchildren.
He is survived by his brothers Chris and Emanuel Bickos of Sidney, NY and sister Helen Vervon of Rinebeck, NY.
