Richard L. Heaney Masonville, NY – Richard L. Heaney 71 of Masonville passed away on Monday, November 24, 2014 at his home. Born on April 1, 1943 in Nyack, NY, he was the son of the late Leslie and Charlotte (Secor ) Heaney. Richard is survived by his wife, Judy Butler Heaney of Masonville His three children, Amanda (Edward) Smith, Unadilla; Brian Heaney and his son Nevada, Franklin; and Craig Heaney, Sidney, Step-children, John Bourgeois, Garrettsville, Joann Bourgeois, Bainbridge, Dorothy McKee, Unadilla and their families. Vernon (Julie) Butler, Uxbridge, MA; Brian Butler, Norfolk, MA; Lori (Al) Bickemeyer, Oneonta; and Christine (Mike) Simonds, Otego, NY , and several step-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, William (Cindy) Heaney, nephew, Evan and niece, Alison. In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by his second wife, Barbara Heaney, in 2001. Richard worked for Jess F. Howes for many years and retired from Amphenol in 2005 after 25 years of service as a Master electrician. He was a snowmobiler, target shooter, gold prospector. He had a special love for animals and 4th of July fireworks. He was a member of the Sidney Moose Lodge, Gold Prospectors Association and IAM&AW of Sidney. Upon Richard's wishes there are no services.
