Afton T. Sowersby Bainbridge, NY Afton T. Sowersby, 46 of Bainbridge passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 20, 2009. Afton was born on June 23, 1962, son of David C. and Claudia (Parent) Sowersby in Sidney. He was a 1981 graduate of Sidney High School. Afton worked as a self-employed contractor. On October 9, 2004, Afton married Pauline "Polly" Foster in Norwich, NY. Afton is survived by: His wife, Polly Sowersby Bainbridge 2 Daughters, Alyssa Sowersby Bainbridge Heather and Paul Slack Mt. Upton 2 Sons, Bobby and Renee Leizear Bainbridge Michael Gowen Tuscon, AZ His parents, David and Claudia Sowersby Bainbridge His brother, Kevin Sowersby Bainbridge 4 grandchildren: Macie Leizear, Justin Goodhue, Andrew Slack and Hayley Slack 2 nephews: Hunter and Aaron Sowersby Aunt, Michelle Carrillo Tampa, FL Uncle, Louis and Patricia Parent Elgin, SC 2 Cousins: Michael and Christine Parent Friends are invited to call on Thursday, February 26, 2009 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main Street Sidney, NY 13838. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 27, 2009 at 11:30am at the funeral chapel with Rev. Fr. Gordon Polenz of the Sacred Heart Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Afton's name can be directed to a trust fund for his daughter, Alyssa in care of N.B.T. Bank, Division Street Sidney. Arrangements under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main Street Sidney.
