Obituary of Wallace A. Scott, Jr.

Wallace A. Scott, Jr. Bainbridge, NY Wallace Allan Scott, Jr. (Scotty), 51, of Bainbridge, died at his home on Wednesday, March 19, 2014. He was born July 1, 1962 in Sidney, the son of Wallace A. and Yvonne M. (Hulse) Scott. He married Kristin F. Heath on March 26, 1988. Scotty is survived by his wife of 26 years, Kristin Scott; his mother, Yvonne Osborne and step-father, John Osborne; his brothers, Brad and Shawn, and many other loved aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father and mentor, Wallace Allan Scott, Sr.. Special thanks to his best buddy, Joe Gunther, Jr. and the hard work of Hospice of Chenango County, Ellen Daugherty and the unending loyalty of his wife. Scotty graduated from Sidney Central School in 1980 and then worked at Great American before becoming self-employed. He managed the family owned Dairy Cream in Bainbridge for many years. After selling the family business, he became a subcontractor for the US Postal Service, which he did for many years. Scotty was an active member of the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and participated in the construction of many Kingdom Halls throughout New York State. He loved country music and live bands, and he himself enjoyed playing guitar. Scotty and Kristin enjoyed traveling: visiting Italy, Germany, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, New York City and many trips to Florida. He loved buying and selling vehicles and going to car shows and flea markets. Scotty's humor will be missed by friends and family alike. Memorial services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Sidney, on Thursday, March 27, 2014 with calling hours from 12noon to 1:00pm, immediately followed by the memorial service.
