Joseph B. Comparetto born January 17, 1950 passed away on January 4, 2014. He was a retired boat Captain and Charter boat fisherman. He also fought for our country during the Vietnam War where he was awarded a Purple Heart.
Joseph who was known to many as: Joe, Lil' Joe, Capt. Joe, Grandpa Joe, or Papa Joe, could always be found on a body of water fishing (mostly U.S. lakes and the Florida Keys). He was a loving and loyal family member and friend. He has left us all with memories of fun times and loving moments. We will carry him in our hearts forever. He is loved and survived by many.
Friends may call Saturday, January 18, 2014 from 1:00-3:00 PM with services to follow at 3:00 PM in C.H. Landers Funeral Home 21 Main Street. Sidney, NY. Committal will take place in the spring in Glenwood Cemetery. He will be laid to rest beside his son, Joseph Comparetto.
