Hilda M. Gifford

Hilda (Mott) Gifford, 88, of Unadilla, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich. Hilda was born on July 8, 1925, daughter of the late J. Edward and Ethel (Miller) Hare in Harpursville. She was married to Rd Mott on March 25, 1950. He predeceased her on August 20, 1983. She later married Gerald Gifford on July 13, 1985, who predeceased her on May 26, 1994.

Hilda retired from Keith Clark in Sidney in 1984. She was a dedicated member of the Fellowship Baptist Church, Unadilla.

Hilda is survived by:

Her son, Darryle and Kimberly Mott of Norwich

Step-daughter, Julie Lai of Pinellas Park, FL

Grandson, Joshua Aaron Mott of Utica

Step-grandson, Jonathan Bailey of Norwich

In addition to her husbands, Hilda was predeceased by her brother, Jack Hare, and her sister, Eldora Mott.

Private graveside services in Greenlawn Cemetery, Bainbridge, will take place in the spring. Memorial donations in Hilda's memory may be directed to the Fellowship Baptist Church, 1050 Covered Bridge Road, Unadilla, NY 13849.
