Obituary of Daniel Linn Nichols

Daniel Nichols Cortland, NY Daniel Linn Nichols, 66 of Cortland, NY, went to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his family, on Monday, October 14, 2013. He was born on September 29, 1947 in Sidney, NY the son of the late Juanita M. and Julian L. Nichols. Dan was raised in Morris, NY and was a graduate of Morris Central School where he was captain of the football team. He owned and operated his own dairy for many years, and went on to manage several large dairy and beef operations throughout his career. He was an employee of the Cranesville Block Company in Tully, NY at the time of his death. Dan attended Bible Baptist Church in Cortland, NY. He is survived by three daughters, Rebekah (Rob) Johnson of Cortland, Jennifer (Tyler) Blaise of Tomball, TX, Betsy (Brian) Toglia of Cortland, and two sons Andrew (Jen) Nichols of Orwell, NY, and Matthew (Tiffany) Nichols of Tomball, TX, brothers Dean and Mike, and sister Roxanne (Brown), and twelve grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Butternut Valley Cemetery in Gilbertsville, NY on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 1:00 PM, with a fellowship luncheon to follow at the Morris VFW, 314 Ellis Road, Morris, NY.
