John A. Moyse Bainbridge, NY John A. Moyse, Jack to all who knew him, passed away suddenly, but peacefully, on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Binghamton General Hospital. He was born on July 28, 1936, son of the late Laurence J. and Mary A. (Lynam) Moyse in Brooklyn, New York. Jack was a retired New York City Police Officer. He served his city with pride and dignity, and wore his shield proudly during his service. His last command was at the 106th Precinct in Jamaica, NY. After retiring, Jack continued his devotion to the job as an active member of the New York City Patrolman's Benevolent Association (P.B.A.), the Holy Name Society, the New York 10-13 Association and the Delaware County Shields. It was Jack's dream to retire to the beautiful open skies and rolling mountains of New York, so he followed his dream and settled in majestic Bainbridge, NY. He loved the peace and tranquility that became his life. Jack's belief and strong devotion to the Catholic faith brought him to become an active member of St. John the Evangelist Church. This was a place he truly felt at home and cherished. For those who knew Jack, he will be remembered for his sense of humor and his devotion to his family and friends. He was loyal and deeply committed to all. Whenever you needed a hand, a ride, or just a friend to talk to, he was there. To his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other little ones, you will always be his "Butterballs". If you were sad, he could cheer you up with his silly jokes and crazy Italian accent. His kind and gentle nature will be missed by all. Your children will always love you.."Minna Bits". Jack is survived by his children, John Moyse and Patricia Cusumano; son-in-law, Anthony Cusumano; brother, Laurence Moyse; sister-in-law, Carole; grandchildren: Samantha, John, Jr., Dylan, Austin, Morgan and Christopher; many loving nieces and nephews, and his companion Linda Morovinsky. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital. Friends are invited to call on Thursday, September 26, 2013 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm at C.H.
