Letha Irene Roe, 92, of Unadilla, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. Letha was born on February 5, 1921, daughter of the late Lemuel and Flora (Gunn) Roe in Susquehanna, PA.
Letha graduated from Oakland High School in 1939 before relocating to New York. She was a former employee of Scintilla in Sidney and E.H. Titchner in Binghamton. In 1947, she began work as a machine operator at Vail-Ballou Press in Binghamton. She retired from Vail-Ballou on February 25, 1983 after 36 years of service.
Letha is survived by her sister, Elva Hall of Otego, numerous nieces and nephews as well as grand-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Letha was predeceased by two sisters, Joyce Wells and Flora "Betty" Roe, and her brother, Karr W. Roe.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, August 16, 2013 in the Newman Cemetery, Great Bend, PA. Condolences may be shared with the family online at www.landersfh.com.
Arrangements are under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, Sidney.
