Obituary of Jerry Paul Jones

Jerry Paul Jones Unadilla, NY Jerry Paul Jones, 61, of Unadilla, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 22, 2013. He was born on June 6, 1952 to John Paul and Onolee Harriet (Balderston) Jones at The Hospital, Sidney. Jerry graduated from Sidney Central School in 1971. He was employed at Una-Lam from 1972 to 1988. He also worked for Victory Markets Warehouse in Norwich and briefly at the Unadilla Diner. In his younger days, Jerry enjoyed fishing, swimming and boating at his grandparent's cottage on Lake Columbia in Deposit. He also enjoyed driving around with his parents to garage sales in the area. Jerry also enjoyed sporty cars and time with his family. Jerry loved to make fudge for his family at Christmas along with other baked goods. Jerry was predeceased by both his mother and father. He is survived by two brothers: Lanny and Debbie (Lester) Jones of Unadilla and Joel and Connie (Johnson) Jones of Sidney, as well as several nices, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Graveside committal services will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 in Maplewood Cemetery, Mt. Upton. Rev. Veleda Banta will officiate.
