Robert Victor Ireland, 68, of Bainbridge, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 3, 2013 at his home. Robert was born on October 25, 1944, son of Geraldine (Manwarren) and the late Stanley Ireland in Sidney. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1961-1966. On February 18, 1967, Bob was married to Marion Turnick in Sidney, sharing 46 years of love and happiness. Bob was a dairy farmer, as well as the owner/operator of Robert Ireland Trucking since 1972. He had a hammer collection like no other, many various sizes and for various uses. He had a gift for cobbling things together and could make something run that no one else could. He affected many peoples' lives. He left lasting impressions on people because, there was "only one Bob, there'll never be another."

Friends are invited to call from 3:00-7:00pm on Friday, June 7, 2013 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY. Funeral services will take place at 10:00am on Saturday, June 8th at the funeral chapel with Rev. Ernie Varga, pastor officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in West Bainbridge Cemetery, West Bainbridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bob's name may be directed to the charity of one's choice.
