Jennie R. DeMott, 96, of Bainbridge, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich. Jennie was born on December 14, 1916, daughter of the late Paul and Ruth (Dibble) Ahrens in Sanford, NY. In 1935, she was married to William DeMott in Bainbridge. He predeceased her on July 19, 1986. She was employed by E.C.D. of Bendix as an assembler from 1950 until her retirement in 1979.
Jennie is survived by her son, Gerald F. DeMott of Afton; two daughters: Pauline Stevens of Bainbridge and Diane Horoszewski of Bainbridge, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Jennie was predeceased by three sons, Donald, Charles and James DeMott, her brother, Paul Ahrens and her sister, Margaret Whitney.
Graveside services took place in Greenlawn Cemetery last week. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.landersfh.com.
Arrangements were under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, Sidney.
