Obituary of Ralph Daniel Harp

Ralph D. Harp, Jr. Sidney, NY Ralph "Bucky" Daniel Harp, Jr., 57, of Sidney, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 11, 2013 with his loved ones by his side. He was born on December 5, 1955 in Delhi, NY. Bucky is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Linda E. Harp; his mom, Amelia Francisco; his beloved children: Jason and Shannon Harp, Amanda, Cassandra, Brittany & Jason Snow, Rebecca and David Towndrow and Sharlynn Plows; five grandchildren: Thomas and Abigail Spindler, Cove Blais, and Katherine and Wyatt Towndrow; his siblings: Cathy (John) Davies, Deborah Beckwith, Karen Gonzales, Alan Harp and Gary (Lisa) Harp, as well as many nieces and nephews. Other loves of his life are his dearest friend he called his brother, Bruce Crandall and Barbie, as well as too many special friends to name who stood by his side throughout his courageous battle the past 16 months. Bucky will also be sorely missed by his four legged canine, "Daddy's Baby Girl", Miss Molly. He was predeceased by his father, Neil Francisco. Bucky's passions, besides his family, were boating, fishing and hunting. He served four years in the United States Air Force, being honorably discharged in 1978, and he worked for Amphenol Corp. for 34 years and was a member of I.A.M. & A.W. Union. Friends are invited to call from 2:00-4:00pm on Friday, March 15, 2013 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. A memorial service will follow at 4:00pm with Rev. Herman Harley officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bucky's memory may be made to the Cancer Treatment Center of America, 1331 East Wyoming Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19124.
