John F. Bargher, Jr., 75, of Guilford, NY and formerly of Ithaca, passed away Tuesday January 22, 2013. He was born September 16, 1937 in Sidney, NY to the late John, Sr. and Marian Bargher. John was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Catherine A. Bargher, in 1999. He was employed for many years as a manager for Victory and Great American Markets and later for Briar Root Tobacco shops and Kmart.

John is survived by his son, Joseph of Ithaca, NY; daughters and sons-in-law: Cheryl and Rodger Ward of Spencer, NY and Michelle and Brian Knickerbocker of Marathon, NY; his grandchildren: Kelly, Kevin and Kara Bargher, Private Andrew, Kyle and Tylor Knickerbocker, and Ryan Ward as well as his longtime girlfriend, Geraldine Haynes. In addition, he is survived by 3 brothers, 6 sisters, and several nieces and nephews.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery in Ithaca. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.landersfh.com.
