Clinton G. Mayo Sidney Center, NY Clinton G. Mayo 80 of Sidney Center passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday. June 2, 2009 at his home. He was born April 23, 1929 son of the late Fred and Edna (Sawdy) Mayo in Cannonsville. Clinton married Martha Shackleton over 60 years ago on June 7, 1948. In 1991 he retired from Borden's Chemical Co. in Bainbridge. Clinton liked to travel the area watching softball and could be found working on his woodpile behind the house. He also enjoyed bird watching and caring for his family. Clinton is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Martha Mayo, Sidney Center And their three children - Duane Mayo, Port Crane Diane and Dennis Laraway, Scottsdale, AZ Dawn Zieno, Sidney As well as 7 Grandchildren - Alyssa and Hallie Mayo, Port Crane Jennifer Plestis, Binghamton Tiffany Plestis, Lahaina, Hawaii Amanda Laraway, Scottsdale, AZ Matthew Zieno, Syracuse Daniel Zieno, Oneonta And 2 Sisters - Lillian and Morris Hornbeck, Sidney Center Lois Phoenix, Walton And a Sister-in-law - Helen Mayo, Sidney Center And many Nieces, Nephews and cousins He was also predeceased by his brother, Norman Mayo and Sisters Edna Walley and Valerie Daugherty Friends may call Friday, June 5, 2009; at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney the family will be in attendance from 6-8 PM Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 11:00 AM at C.H. Landers funeral chapel, Rev. Barbara Pease, Pastor of the United Methodist Church in Sidney Center officiating. Burial will follow in Hale Eddy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.landersfh.com Arrangements are under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel Sidney.
