Obituary of Robert William Smedley

Robert W. Smedley Bainbridge, NY Robert W. Smedley 74 of Bainbridge passed away Tuesday, May 8 2012 at Bridgewater Nursing Facility in Binghamton. He was born January 25, 1938 son of the late Albert and Pearle (Diebert) Smedley in Danville, PA Robert married June Banks on September 15, 1962 in Bainbridge. He enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved to spend time with his family. Robert worked in the Norwich Shoe Factory and retired from Borden's Chemical Co. in Bainbridge after 42 years. He is survived by his devoted wife - June Smedley, Bainbridge Loving Daughter and Son-in-law - Pamela and Ed Colburn, Bainbridge Grandson - Travis Colburn Sister and brother-in-law - Helen and Ernie Kreider Selinsgrove, PA 2 Sisters-in-law - Joyce Smedley, Sunbury, PA Freda Smedley, Danville, PA In-laws - Ted and Bert Banks, Bainbridge Maretta Barnhart, Bainbridge And Nieces, Nephews and cousins He is also predeceased by Albert (Mick) Smedley, Delores (Sis) Showers, Marlene and Don Fitzgerald and Vern Smedley. Friends may call Friday, May 11, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney. Memorial services will follow at 1:00 PM with Commissioned Lay Preacher, Terri Barnhart officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Bainbridge.
