Obituary of Jean Ellen Jump

Jean E. Jump Masonville, NY Jean Ellen Jump 84, of Masonville passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the Chenango Memorial Nursing Facility in Norwich. She was born October 13, 1927 to the late Alton and Edith (Comstock) Butts in Bainbridge. Jean married Norman Lewis Jump on October 16, 1943 in Bainbridge. She worked as inspector for the Amphenol Corp in Sidney, retiring in 1987. Jean was a den mother for the local cub scouts and was famous for her pies and potato salad which she was willing to make for any community meal. She was a past member of the Masonville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Masonville Grange. She was also a member of the Masonville Federated Church. Jean is survived by: Her husband, Norman Jump of Masonville Sons and daughters-in-law - Donald and Mary Jump. Morris Arnold and Junal Jump, Mt. Upton Daughter and Son-in-law - Norma and Marshall "Ozzie" Osborn, Gilbertsville Daughter-in-law - Barbara Jump, Florida Brother and Sister-in-law - Ronald and Eleanor Butts, Bainbridge Sister - Alta Ropert, Deposit Sister-in-law - Joyce Butts, Masonville Brother-in-law - Norman Chapman, Deposit 11 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, 1Great, Great Grandchild Several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jean was also predeceased by her son Larry A. Jump, Grandson, Robbie Wally, a Brother and 2 Sisters. Friends may call Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM. Burial in Masonville Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of the family.
