Charles L Cook Unadilla, NY Charles L Cook, 57, passed away on April 20, 2012 at the New York State Veteran's home in Oxford. Charles was born on October 4, 1954. The son of the late Charles and Shirley (Melius) Cook Charles graduated from Sidney High School in 1974. He served in the Navy for 2 years and 2 months. After the Navy he worked for Meadwestvaco for 31 years. Charlie loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his nieces and nephews, Dylan and Bryar Babcock of Otego, and Katya and Leslie Charles Babcock of Unadilla. Some of Charlie's favorite past times included playing bingo, the lottery, and building models, some of which were placed on display during modeling competitions. Charles is survived by his sister Carol Babcock of Unadilla, Brother Wayne Cook of Sidney, Sister, Sheryl Scott of Vestal, best friends, Ronald and Denise Van Loan of Sidney Center and Rob Tierney of Norwich, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Calling hours will be held at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, April 24, 2012. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the funeral chapel. Burial will be at New York State Veteran's Cemetery in Oxford.
