Obituary of Ruth Stoutenberg

Ruth Stoutenberg Afton, NY Ruth Elizabeth Stoutenberg, 88, of Afton, passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2012 at her home. She was born January 31, 1923 daughter of the late Stratford and Edith Gifford VanValkenburg in Masonville, NY Ruth graduated from Sidney Central Schools with the Class of 1941. She worked as a bookkeeper for many of the local businesses and was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Ruth married Marvin Stoutenberg June 30, 1951 in Nineveh. He predeceased her May 6, 1993. She is survived by: 2 Sisters - Doris Beilby, Deposit Jean Stanton, Afton Sister-in-law - Mary VanValkenburg Several nieces and nephews She was predeceased by 4 brothers and 3 sisters-in-law; Theron and Rose VanValkenburg, Milton "Mike" and Harriett VanValkenburg, Millard "Pat" and Elizabeth VanValkenburg and Robert VanValkenburg. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Afton.
