William H. Case Mt. Upton, NY William (Pop) H. Case, 83, of Mount Upton, NY died at home on November 5, 2011 after a long illness. Bill was born in Newark, NJ and was a lifelong resident of the Parsippany/Denville, NJ area until his retirement in 2002 when he and his wife, Barbara, moved to Upstate NY. Over his lifetime he had a variety of jobs including rigger for Bellantoni's Carnival, orderly at Greystone Park Hospital, Drew Chemical in Boonton, his own paint contracting business and superintendent for Westgate Garden Apartments in Parsippany for over 30 years. While at Westgate he had a shop large enough to accommodate working on his antique Chris Craft and whatever antique car he had at the moment and still had room for the gathering of friends that would drift in nearly every afternoon. Bill was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Barbara (nee Boyd) in 2009 and is survived by his four daughters (Brenda Gustin of Dover, NJ, Ida Fornini of Masonville, NY, Joan Crisell of Mount Upton, NY and Billie Ann Roedel of Ledgewood, NJ), nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, his sister Mildred Caldwell and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service to be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at C. H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main Street, Sidney, NY. Friends may call from 1:00-3:00pm prior to the service. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.landersfh.com. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Borden Hose Company #1 1698 State Highway 8 Mt. Upton, NY 13809 or Guilford Fire Dept. Emergency Squad Mechanic St. Guilford, NY 13780 Arrangements under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney.
