Paul Gerald Schmitt, 60, of Franklin, passed away Friday, November 4, 2011 at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta. He was born July 25, 1951 to the late Philip J. and Marian (Bruder) Schmitt in Brooklyn. Paul was a past member of the Sacred Heart Church in Sidney.
He is survived by:
Sister and Brother-in-law - Gloria and William Corcoran, Baldwinsville
Brother - Philip Schmitt, Binghamton
Nieces - Diane Sandman, San Diego, CA
Melissa Catalano, Baldwinsville
Longtime caregivers - Randy and Erin Cowles, Franklin
Friends are invited to call Saturday, November 12, 2011 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney. A prayer service will follow at 11:00 AM with The Rev. Fr. Gordon Polenz officiating.
Burial will be in St. John Cemetery in Middle Village, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Sacred Heart Church 15 Liberty St. Sidney, NY 13838. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.landersfh.com
Arrangements are under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel Sidney.
