Elisa Cuomo-Richter Bainbridge, NY Elisa Cuomo-Richter, 41, of Bainbridge, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at her home with her family and friends by her side. Elisa was born on November 23, 1969 in Scranton, PA, daughter of Joe and Joan Cuomo. She grew up in Queens, NY. On October 30, 2004, Elisa married Jim Richter. For their seventh anniversary this past Sunday, they renewed their vows. Elisa loved animals and children. She was especially involved in her children's lives, whether it be sporting events, baking or school functions. She volunteered at Sacred Heart Church in Sidney as a Religious Education Teacher. Elisa fought many struggles throughout her life, and beat them all. She was a fighter to the end. She is survived by her loving husband, Jim Richter; four children: Michael Cuomo, Giavanna Cuomo, Hunter Richter and Nicholas Richter; her mother, Joan Cuomo; a large extended family and many, many friends. Friends are invited to call from 2:00-5:00pm on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Monday, November 7th at Sacred Heart Church, 15 Liberty St. Sidney with Rev. Fr. Gordon Polenz, pastor officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Elisa's name may be directed to Helping Hands of Broome County, 30 Harrison St. Suite 102 Johnson City, NY 13790 or to the Richter Family Fund in care of SFCU, 16 South Main St. Bainbridge, NY 13733. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.landersfh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, Sidney.
