Obituary of David James Brown

David J. Brown Bainbridge, NY David J. Brown, 66, of Bainbridge, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at Chenango Memorial Hospital-Residential Health Care Facility in Norwich. David was born on January 26, 1945 in Sidney, NY, son of the late Maurice and Marjorie Brown. After graduating high school, David worked for the NYS DOT out of Bainbridge in the maintenance department as a machinist and a truck driver. David loved hunting, fishing and keeping busy, always lending a helping hand where needed. He was a lifetime fan of the NY Giants and greatly enjoyed NASCAR. David is survived by: Rinda (Felske) Brown, Brenda Brown, Jenny (Brown) Jenks, Heather Brown, Travis Brown, Tracee Brown, Wendy Hartwell Lansing, Tina Hartwell, Donavan Hartwell, Jennifer Hartwell, Tony Caratelli, Michelle (John) McCoy, Shannon Williams, Kayla Bolster, Cody Bolster, Amy Jenks and Ashley Jenks. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by: sister, Betty Barber, sister, Martha Whitmarsh, brother, Paul Brown, sister, Beverly Stevens and brother, Edwin Brown. Friends are invited to call on Friday, November 4, 2011 from 1:00-3:00pm at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main Street Sidney, NY 13838. Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm at the funeral chapel with Rev. Fred Albrecht officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in David's name may be directed to the Afton Emergency Squad, 15 Spring St. Afton, NY 13730.
