Frederick B. Simpson Trout Creek, NY Frederick B. "Corky" Simpson, 80 of Trout Creek passed away on Thursday evening, April 23, 2009 at his home. Fred was born on July 25, 1928, son of the late Lewis H. and Ninna (Dodge) Simpson in Unadilla. In 1945, at the age of 17, Fred enlisted in the United States Navy. He served in the Navy for four years, then enlisted with the United States Army for 20 years of service, retiring from the Army in 1970. During his time in the military, Fred traveled the world, and was very proud of these travels. On July 17, 1976, Fred married Betty May Reynolds in Trout Creek. She predeceased him on August 1, 2003. Fred was employed as a molder for Bendix (Amphenol Corp.) until his retirement in 1988. Fred is survived by: Son, Bruce Simpson Trout Creek Daughter, Karen Pacquin Rhode Island 4 grandchildren - Dereck Simpson, Ericka Simpson, Jennifer Pacquin, Ricky Pacquin 2 sisters: Barbara Molitaris FL Alice Sarne FL As well as several nieces and nephews In additon to his wife, Fred was predeceased by two brothers, Lewis Simpson and Edward Dugan, and two sisters, Doris Closs and Ellenore Smith. A memorial service for Fred will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions in honor of Fred may be directed to the Trout Creek Fire Department and Emergency Squad.
