Donald L. Cole, Sr. Masonville, NY Donald Lee Cole, Sr., 72, of Masonville, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on October 4, 1938, son of the late Russell and Jennie (Elliott) Cole in Bloomingdale, NJ. On June 22, 1957, Don married Jean Larson in Bloomingdale. Don owned J&J Carpet Service in Bloomingdale, NJ before relocating to Masonville. Don loved farming and was a regular jack of all trades; if it was broke, he could fix it. He enjoyed being in his workshop, and was a motorcycle enthusiast. Donald is survived by: His loving wife of 54 years, Jean Cole of Masonville 4 Children: Donna Megale of Greene, Donald, Jr. and Carey Cole of Masonville, Russell and Candy Cole of Masonville and Jeanne Cole and her fiancé Joel Tolley of Mt. Upton Grandchildren: Tommy, Nicole, Gabby, Shaun, Cassie, Rusty, Justin, Christopher, Bobby, Cody, Trevor, Jordan and McKee 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved cat, Lucky. Don was predeceased by his brother, Floyd Cole and his sister, Gladys Crane. Friends may call on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011 from 11:00am-1:00pm at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm at the funeral chapel. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either the American Heart Association or to the Masonville Fire Department. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.landersfh.com.
