Eunice Richards Sidney, NY Eunice Richards, 88, of Sidney, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the home of her niece and caregiver, Vicki Merritt in Norwich, N.Y. Eunice was born on December 26, 1922, daughter of the late Harry and Lena (Taylor) Richards in Windsor, NY. Eunice was a long time employee of Amphenol Corp. in Sidney, managing the bookkeeping department. Following retirement, she also worked as a bookkeeper for Delaware Valley Humane Society in Sidney. Eunice is survived by: 2 Sisters: Irene Santa Lucia of Norwich and Julia Stone of Oquaga She is also survived by over 100 nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews and her special friends Beverly McCarthy, Ann Campbell, Joan Wycallis, Carol Jones and numerous other friends. Eunice was predeceased by five brothers and sisters, Clara Storer, Margaret E. Bell, Josephine Bell, Robert A. Richards and Elbert Richards Friends are invited to call from 1:00 pm. to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday August 17, 2011 at the C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main Street, Sidney, N.Y. Funeral services will follow at 3:00p.m. at the funeral chapel with Donna Steckline chaplain for Hospice of Chenango, Norwich, N.Y. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Windsor, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Eunice's name may be directed to the Delaware Valley Humane Society, 101 East Main St. Sidney, NY 13838 or to Hospice of Chenango County, 21 Hayes Street Norwich, NY 13815.
