Barbara E. Wilson Sidney, NY Barbara Ellen Wilson went to be with her Lord on Friday, July 29, 2011. Barbara was born in 1936 in Cooperstown, NY, the daughter of Warren B. (Andy) Wilson and Angie Lockwood Wilson. She is survived by her sister, Eileen Atkinson-Latta and her husband, John; her brother Donald W. Wilson and fianc, Lorraine Angellotti; her nieces: Amy Farrell and husband, Dr. Michael, Heather Coleman and husband, Dan and Donna Zabelski; her nephews: Gary Wilson and wife, Kimberly, Jim Wilson, Eric Wilson and wife, Marcia, Craig Wilson and wife, Brenda and their children. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Betty Jean and her brothers, Clifford L. Wilson and Richard A. Wilson. Barbara was employed by the Bendix Corporation (now Amphenol) retiring in November of 1987 from the Marketing Department. She traveled extensively and enjoyed the various cultures. Barbara was generous with her time, talent and financial resources with those less fortunate than she. Barbara was an active member of the Assembly of God Church. She loved the Lord, her family and a host of special friends including: Lois Hilkert, Julie Neu, Mary and Douglas Creamer, Jule and Douglas Luscomb, Roger Angell and Vi and Richard Stevens, to name but a few. With the help of family and friends, Barbara fought a courageous battle with diabetes for eight years. Visitation will be at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney on Saturday, August 6, 2011 from 10:00am until 12 Noon. Graveside services will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Sidney at 1:00pm. Memorial services will begin at 2:00pm at the Assembly of God Church, Plankenhorn Road, Sidney, NY following the burial. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to either the Sidney Assembly of God Church, or to the Delaware Valley Humane Society, 101 East Main St. Sidney, NY 13838.
