Thomas E. Stone Mt. Upton, NY Thomas E. Stone 84 passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Wilson Hospital in Johnson City. He was born July 18, 1926 in Queens, NY. He was the son of the late Edward and Gladys (Moore) Stone. Tom married Margaret 'Betty" Beadle on September 29, 1947 in South New Berlin, N.Y. They ran a small farm, raising beef cattle. Tom was famous for his bull Henry. He also worked in the maintenance department at the Amphenol Corp. in Sidney for 36 years. Tom was a 60 year member of the Borden Hose Co. in Mt. Upton and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Upton. His family will remember him as a stern but loving man who enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Stone, Mt. Upton A son, Russell Stone and Bonnie Norton, Mt. Upton 2 Daughters, Barbara and David O'Dell, Mt. Upton Lori and Charles Sutton, NC 11 Grandchildren - Kim, Kelly, Kristy, Phillip, Troy, Amber, Brandy, Lindsay, Evan, Eric and Christopher 9 Great Grandchildren - Jimmy, Jacob, Corey, Karly, Dominick, Kyli, Trenton, Andrew, Rhys Tom was also predeceased by a brother, Richard. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 15, 2011 at 6:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Mt. Upton 1749 State Highway 8 Mt. Upton, NY. Rev. Gerald Bovee will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Borden Hose Co. PO Box 197 Mt. Upton, NY 13809 or the First Baptist Church of Mt. Upton 1749 State Highway 8 Mt.
