Obituary of Fred Edward Smith

Fred E. Smith Unadilla, NY Fred Edward Smith, 65, passed away on April 14, 2009. Fred was born on March 19, 1944, son of the late James and Rosella (Anson) Smith in Sidney. He was a life long resident of Sidney. Fred retired from the Army National Guard and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He also was employed by and retired from Mead Westvaco in Sidney. Fred is survived by: 1 son, Scott Christopher Smith and his wife Crystal 3 grandchildren: Jarath Leo Smith, Foley Christian Smith and Brenna Smith 4 sisters: Joyce Edna Smith, Arlene Janette Henry, Shirley Ann Horrell and Patty Lee Parrizzi 1 brother, James Le Roy Smith As well as numerous nieces and nephews A graveside gathering for Fred, with military honors, will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, July 17, 2009 at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Unadilla where Fred will be laid to rest with his parents.
