Obituary of Richard Cole

Richard (Dickie) Cole Unadilla, NY Richard (Dickie) E. Cole 68 of Unadilla passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011. He was born son of the late Rowland Cole, Sr. and Elizabeth Wright in Rockdale on December 28, 1942. Dickie was a Sidney High School graduate of 1961. He spent his life caring for and enjoying his family, especially all of his nieces and nephews. Dickie was also an avid New York Yankee fan and hardly ever missed a game. He is survived by his three brothers and their spouses, Rowland Jr. and Shirley Cole, Donald and Janice Cole, Reginald and Amy Cole. He is also survived by his nephews and nieces and their spouses, Tracy (Cole) and Tim Ladd, Timothy and Sonia Cole, Tina Cole, Ronda (Cole) and John Ruff, Rowland III and Darcy Cole, Colleen (Cole) and Eric Finch, and Branden Cole. Additionally Dickie loved spending time with his 12 great, nieces and nephews and their spouses, Mikayla Cole, Matthew Cole, Ashley (Ruff) and Scott Ives, Joshua and Ashley Ruff, Patrick and Katie Cole, Rusty Cole, Parker Finch, Lillyann Finch, Carly Finch, Samuel Cole, Noah Cole and Caleb Cole. Dickie was also predeceased by his sister, Anne and niece Renee Friends may call Saturday, June 25, 2011 from 4-6PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 PM in the funeral chapel. Committal services will take place at 11:00am on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Sidney. Friends are invited to a luncheon at the Sidney Elks Lodge 2175, River St. Sidney, from 1:00-4:00pm following the committal.
