Obituary of Constance E. Brown

Constance E. Brown Sidney, NY Constance (Connie) Brown, 77, of Sidney, NY passed away on Monday, May 16, 2011 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY after a short illness. Connie was born on June 20, 1933, daughter of the late Peter and Bertha Winnick, in Candor, NY. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Catherine Winnick of Sidney; sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Gordon Myer of Ithaca; nephews and nieces: Gary (Anne) Winnick, Dr. Richard Winnick, Dr. James (Pascale) Winnick, Christine (Dr. Steven) Radi, JoAnn Myer-Foland and Rhonda (Christopher) Salay. Connie was an active and long time member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 502 in Sidney, where she shared her talent playing the piano for several functions. She was a fine musician, having been the organist at St. Francis Church, Catatonk, NY for many years, as well as an accordionist in a dance band. Connie was a dedicated member of Sacred Heart Church in Sidney. Friends are invited to call from 3:00-5:00pm on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Monday, May 23, 2011 at Sacred Heart Church, 15 Liberty St. Sidney. Committal services will take place at 3:30pm on Monday at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Owego, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Connie's name may be directed to the Sacred Heart Church, 15 Liberty St. Sidney, NY 13838 or to the charity of one's choice.
