Lois Simpkin Babcock, 71, of Bainbridge, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester following a short illness. Lois was born on October 18, 1939, daughter of the late Maynard and Lucal Jones in Delhi. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.
Lois is survived by:
Four children: Terry Simpkin of Bainbridge, James Simpkin of Virginia, Kyle Simpkin of Bainbridge and Debra Dello of Bainbridge.
Several grandchildren and great grandchildren
Three brothers: Arthur, Maynard and Charles Jones
As well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by two sons, Charles and Robert Simpkin, her husband, Charles Simpkin and two sisters: Doreen Stafford and Marie Jones.
A graveside service will take place at 1:00pm on Monday, May 16, 2011 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Bainbridge. Memorial contributions in Lois' name may be directed to the Bainbridge Fire Dept., 22 West Main St. Bainbridge, NY 13733. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.landersfh.com.
Arrangements under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney.
