Obituary of Edward Searles

Edward Searles Bainbridge, NY Edward Searles 87 of Bainbridge passed away, Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich after a brief illness. He was born December 15, 1923, son of the late Ward and Mildred (Lyon) Searles in Bainbridge. Ed married Marie Michel. Together they raised 10 children and ran the family dairy farm which has been in the Searles family for 6 generations. Ed also loved NASCAR especially Jeff Gordon. He is survived by: Loving wife of 65 years - Marie Searles 6 Sons - Richard Searles and his companion, Sherry Edward Searles, Jr. Gary Searles, John Searles and his wife Petra Terry Searles and his wife Brenda Jimmy Searles 4 daughters - Pat and Bob Tallmadge Barbara and Doug Labelle Ruth and her companion Bert Roof Shirley and Roger Butler Sister - Carol Woodruff 17 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren and 1 great, great grandson Ed was also predeceased by 2 grandsons, 1 great grandson and a sister, Emily Ives Friends may call Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
