Obituary of Arthur M. Baciuska

Arthur M. Baciuska Afton, NY Arthur Martin Baciuska, 61, of Afton, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 10, 2011. Arthur was born on April 29, 1949, son of Veto and Lillian (Weeks) Baciuska. He was a 1968 graduate of Harpursville Central School. He was married to Holly Salemo on April 5th in Afton. He was the owner and operator of Chenango-Broome Construction of Nineveh for over 40 years. His business was an active sponsor for many community organizations, including softball, bowling and car racing. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Art is survived by: His loving wife of 35 years, Holly Baciuska of Afton His parents, Veto and Lillian Baciuska of Afton Son, Arthur Baciuska of Afton Daughter, Karen Baciuska Rought of Mooresville, NC Grandchildren: Mikey, Ryan, Josh and Tyler Brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Judith Baciuska of Afton Sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Gary Spear of Harpursville Brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ira and Leslie Salemo Many special nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins, friends and employees. Friends are invited to call on Tuesday, February 15th from 5:00-8:00pm at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main Street Sidney, NY 13838. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, February 16th at the funeral chapel. Burial will take place in Glenwood Cemetery, Afton at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be considered to either: the Colesville Emergency Squad and Fire Department, the Greene Emergency Squad and Fire Department, or to the charity of ones choice.
