Ruth V. Harnig, 84, of Sidney Center and formerly of Flushing, passed away on February 5, 2011 at Binghamton General Hospital in Binghamton. Ruth was born March 9, 1926 in Flushing, NY to Anna and Robert A. Harnig, Sr. She moved to Sidney Center from Flushing in 2001. Ruth spent all her working years with AT&T Phone Company as an oversea operator until her retirement. Ruth was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church.
Survivors include her sister, Pat Harnig of Crystal River, FL; brother and sister-in-law, David and Virginia Harnig of Sidney Center; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Flushing at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.landersfh.com.
