Phyllis J. Cooper Aurora, NY Phyllis Janet Cooper, 74, of Aurora, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Auburn Memorial Hospital in Auburn. She was born on April 23, 1936, daughter of the late Arthur G. and Alice (Ives) Barnhart in Nineveh, NY. On August 5, 1952, Phyllis was married to Noah N. Cooper in Walton. He predeceased her in March of 1966. Phyllis worked at Wells College in Aurora, NY for over 35 years, working in various positions, and retiring from housekeeping for the Presidents House. She later went on to work at Lake View Manufacturing, LLC in King Ferry, NY. Phyllis loved to cook and also enjoyed painting. She also loved her grandchildren dearly. She is survived by: 4 children: Linda Dennis and her husband, Gary of Auburn Jerry Cooper of Dover, PA Terry Seneca of Union Springs, NY Noah Cooper and his wife, Janet of Auburn 8 Grandchildren: Tracy Dayton, Scott Dayton, Alyssa Cooper, Kim Denardo, Tom Walter, Noah Cooper, Jr., Ashley Cooper and Neil Cooper 11 Great Grandchildren 2 brothers and sisters-in-law: James Barnhart and his wife, Carol of Sidney Donald Barnhart and his wife, Cathy of Sidney Sister and brother-in-law: Patricia Elderkin and her husband, Herb of Walton As well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in Phyllis' memory may be directed to Auburn Memorial Hospital, 17 Lansing Street Auburn, NY 13021 for the wonderful care shown to Phyllis, especially by the Nursing Staff of 2nd Memorial.
