Obituary of Raie Glen Crawford

Raie G Crawford, 87 of Sidney NY, passed away on January 18th 2024. Raie was born January 5th 1938 in Sidney NY to Erma and Glen Crawford. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1958 and served until 1962.Throughout his life he worked for Smith Ford of Norwich as a mechanic, John Payne Construction as a crane operator and as a truck driver for the U.S. Postal service. His passion for cars and racing carried with him through his life. He loved to drive his 1963 Ford Falcon. Raie also enjoyed camping, spending many summers with his friends, family and beloved dogs Bear and Ona. He is survived by his loving partner Rosemary Bryant, daughter Marcy Offield, grandchildren Seth Abbott & Jordan Potter of Oneonta, NY and two nieces, Barbara Davis of Laurens and Deborah Crawford of Maryland, NY. He is predeceased by his brothers Philip (Flip) & Floyd Crawford, sister RuthAnn Crawford, late wife, Anna Crawford and son, Greg Crawford. Per his wishes he will be laid to rest at the East Sidney Cemetery.
