Donald B. Bogart Afton, NY Donald B. Bogart 95 of Afton passed away Monday, January 17, 2011 at Valley View Nursing Home in Norwich. He was born August 8, 1915, son of the late Earl James and Ruth (Allen) Bogart in Afton. Donald served his country in the United States Army from 1941 to 1945. He married Marion Gladys Loucks on September 27, 1952 in the West Bainbridge Baptist Church. She predeceased him on January 8, 2005. In 1960 Donald went to work as a case worker for Chenango County Dept. of Social Services. He retired as the head validation officer in 1977. Donald is survived by: Son - Lawrence Bogart, Afton Daughter - Ramona Bogart, Afton Daughter - Melonie Mix and her husband Frank of Horseheads. Son - Jack Bogart and his wife Beth of Vestal Brother - David Bogart and his wife Mildred, Afton Sister - Evelyn Johnson, Afton 4 grandchildren, nieces and nephews He was also predeceased by his Brother, Robert Van de Bogart Friends may call Thursday, January 20, 2011 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Afton.10 Caswell St. Afton, NY. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM. with Pastor Chris Prezorski officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Afton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Afton Free Library PO Box 48 Afton, NY 13730 or the First Baptist Church of Afton 10 Caswell St. Afton, NY 13730 Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.landersfh.com Arrangements are under the direction of C.H.
