If you knew Ed, you knew he was a direct and honest person. He was the type of person who would do anything for those he loved. The closeness of family was important to Ed. He enjoyed family gatherings, cooking delicious food for the people he loved and spending time with those that meant the most to him. He had a sense of adventure and need for speed, Cars, 4 wheelers, Motorcycles. He was not only a handyman around the house, but he was also extremely intelligent and talented when it came to technology. Ed was determined and self taught with his knowledge of all things technical. He could fix most anything and many people counted on him throughout the years to fix one thing or another. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and spending time with his wife at their little camp site in the woods. His laugh was infectious. Whenever you heard it, you couldn't help but smile. His heart, genuine. You never had to guess with Ed. He wore his heart on his sleeve and if you meant anything to him; he made sure you knew it. Though no children of his own, Ed's nieces Ivy & Jocee meant the absolute world to him. He was always trying to make them laugh and smile and was the first one to sit and watch a movie or play with them.
Ed and Brooke's love story started out as friendship in grade school into high school and developed into a deep connection. Through the years, they grew together. Through the obstacles, loss, heartache and celebrations. The day they said "I do" was the happiest day of their lives. Ed adored Brooke. He always wanted to make sure she was cared for, protected and loved. She was the true love of his life. Though Ed's time on earth wasn't nearly long enough, he lived his days to the fullest.
Ed is now at peace with his Mom, Dad, Grandparents and Mother-in-law; whom he missed and remembered very much every single day.
Friends may call Sunday, December 1st, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St., Sidney. Ed was a lover of animals. The family asks that in lieu of flowers; please make donations to the Delaware Valley Humane Society.
