Jane Marian (Scheidegger) Stanley passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at the age of 88.

Born in Coventry, NY, Jane was one of 7 children of the late Frederick and Evelyn (Spencer) Scheidegger. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Charles Stanley; brother, John Scheidegger, and sisters: Alice Aiken, Sarah O'Neil and Mary Chesbro.

She is survived by: sister, Catherine "Catsy" Van Pelt, brother, Frederick Scheidegger Jr., three daughters: Deborah Delaney, Carol and Frank Winn, and Susan and Andrew Zibuck; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, who she loved all equally.

Jane enjoyed quilting, gardening, and being outside in the sunshine.

She was a longtime civil servant with the United States Postal Service, and was Postmaster General of Guilford, NY, where she also resided for many years, before retiring in the 1990s.

Jane's family would like to thank the staff at Friendly Home of Rochester, NY, for their care in the last months of her life.
