Donald C. "Donnie", Baker, 79, of Mt Upton, NY, passed away on October 7th, 2024, at Wilson Hospital surrounded by family. Donald was born in Norwich, NY to Gerald and Mildred Baker on August 30th, 1945. He went to high school at Mt Upton Central School and graduated in 1965. He worked as a truck driver for Charles Husted Trucking, Mirabito's and Reinhardt's, hauling milk or fuel for 48 years. Donald and Diane met in school and married after high school. They lived in Mt Upton and raised their 3 children. Donnie enjoyed camping, collecting antiques and coins, especially Warner's Safe items, and spending time with his family. Since his retirement he spent his time making his indent on the couch while clicking his remote and browsing the internet. He also enjoyed feeding his favorite dog, Cupcake donuts and giving treats to his cat, Max. Donald is survived by his wife Diane, of 59 years, Mt. Upton, NY. His children, Catherine (Jamie) Treffeisen, Thomas Baker, Lori-An Baker. His siblings Patricia Kukulech, James Baker and Theresa (Richard) Edgett. A loving "Pop" to his grandchildren Alicia Treffeisen, Chandra Dougherty, Shelby Treffeisen, Hannah Treffeisen, and Amanda (Bryant) Deinhart. Great grandchildren Cooper Finch, Chloe Finch, Londyn Dougherty, Lincoln Dougherty, Brooks Dougherty, and Karsyn Harrington. He is preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Mildred Baker, Milo his cat, siblings Jerry Baker, Bob Baker, Steve Baker and granddaughter Melinda East. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr Nadeem, his team and his nurse Amber. Per Donnie's wishes no services will be held.
