Frederick Arthur Haynes Jr. (Fred), 73, of Sidney, NY, passed away on his wedding anniversary, July 4th, 2024, at Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown. Fred was born in Jamesburg, New Jersey to Frederick and Adeline Haynes on April 1, 1951. He went to high school at Sidney High School. Following high school, he went on to work at Bailey's in Walton, NY. He then worked as a Machinist at Amphenol Aerospace for 43 years before retiring 11 years ago. Fred enjoyed life. He enjoyed golfing with his son, Fred, and playing guitars with Albert. His friends would get together and have jam sessions every couple of months. He also liked going to the casino with the family. He played in card leagues with his wife Dawn. Most of all he enjoyed family, going to grandkids games and the dam to visit family. He loved corn hole every Tuesday at their home where they had tournaments. He will be missed by his dog Blake who he loved dearly. He received the most loving dad award and most devoted Husband award. A favorite grandpa. He was a best friend. He is loved by all that got the chance to know him. He inspired many. My mother and father were and still are in love for 53 years. They inspired us children to have the same love in our lives. I can't say enough about the kind of person my father was and is. He made an impression that will forever leave us heartbroken. Fred is survived by his wife, Dawn Haynes of Sidney; his daughter, Heather Madsen (Michael) of Unadilla; his daughter Melissa Haynes of Sidney and Matt of Harpursville; his son, Fred and Tanya Haynes of Conklin; sister, Barb Baker and Michael of Sidney, brother, Randy Haynes and Melissa of Palm Beach, FL; his brother-in-law, David Hawkins of Cartridge, TN; brother-in-law Victor Fitch (Ida) of Walton; brother-in-law Ronald Fitch (Melanie) of Walton; grandchildren: Tegan Howard of Sidney, Malik Howard (Hannah) of Ithaca, Demetri Howard of Sidney, Dylan Madsen of Sidney, Damien Madsen (Mallory) of Afton, Brayton Northup of Manhattan, Aidan Haynes of Bainbridge, Bella Tillotson of Conklin, and Jackson Tillotson of Conklin; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Frederick Sr. and Adeline Haynes; sister, Gloria Hawkins; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Pinky and Gertrude Fitch; brother-in-law Joseph Baker. Memorial donations in his honor may be made to the charity of one's choice. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to each person that has contacted us in this difficult time, with special thanks to Robert and Margaret Course and Anna Demann and Bonnie Brown; the plating family; The McDonald's family: Daine Patterson Cassandra Cable, Kia Marisco, Ashley Gardner, Missy Demmon, Missy Strong, Norma and Oz Osborne, Brenda Stanton and Kathy Slade. Dad didn't want any funeral service or a celebration of life; we respect his wishes. We will celebrate him every day to come as we will have great memories of the life he has shared with all of us. He is being cremated and will be at their home. Anyone that wants to stop by can. Arrangements are under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, Sidney.
