Melodee Jane Ireland, 70, of Bainbridge NY passed away on May 25th 2024. She was born August 14th 1953 to Ernest aka Jack and Dorothy (Lilley) Briscoe in Sidney, NY. She graduated from Gilberstville Central School in 1971 and went on to earn a degree in accountancy at Suny Cobleskill in 1973. She went on to work at Amphenol Aerospace as an inspector in 1974 where she met her husband, David Ireland. They got married on September 20th, 1980 and went on to have 3 children. She retired from Amphenol in 2015, after 41 years of working. Melodee was a wonderful artist and loved to sketch and draw. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, many other crafts, gardening, reading, traveling and genealogy. She was also a proud member of the Butternut Valley Grange. Melodee is survived by her husband, David Ireland of Bainbridge, son Claude (Donita) Ireland of Bainbridge, two daughters Susan Hughes of Shortsville, NY and Wendy (Michael) Andres of Bainbridge. Her grandchildren: Katheryna, Merrick, Alexander, Corinne, Corbin, Tucker, Seth, Ethan, Aaron, Brennan and Jaden. Her brother Rexford (Linda) Briscoe of South Jordan, UT and sister Loreen (Pasquale) Turallo of Albany, NY along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Melodee was predeceased by her parents. Graveside services will be held on June 6th 2024 at 11 am at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Bainbridge followed by a celebration of life at the Bainbridge Community Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Melodee's name may be directed to a local animal shelter of one's choice.
